I was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1959, and have been married to Brendan since 1985. Together we have a son and two daughters, all young adults now and all successfully completed third-level education and living independent lives. People say that we’re very lucky because Brendan and I are obviously still in love, and we also have a fantastic, fun relationship with our children. But it’s not all down to luck of course. We’ve struggled and made mistakes and we’ve learned a lot about one another and about ourselves.
While my kids were growing up, I did several evening courses on Parenting, Psychology, Meditation and on Stress Management and Stress Relief. Then in 2009 I joined my kids in third level education and embarked on a full-time Honors Degree Course in Applied Psychology. So I am now a Psychologist, and a Mindfulness Meditation Tutor. (You can find my Online course at www.udemy.com/mindfulness-meditation-for-everyone)
I’m not saying my life is stress free, but I have picked up skills over the years that make day-to-day living enjoyable and fun. My Applied Psychology course has provided me with even more skills and knowledge, and my mission is to share those skills with anyone who needs them.
I also love animals and our home is always surrounded by them, both domestic and wild. Unfortunately I also love gardening, but because we have so many deer and rabbits around, I have to confine it to the glasshouse and indoors. But it's a small price to pay.
My hubs will reflect my passions and interests obviously and I hope they will be of use and interest to people.
