I have studied crystal healing for many years and have studied and been attuned to reiki levels one, two, and masters.

Feeling fear when there is an actual or potential danger is a completely normal and self-protective mechanism that helps to ensure our survival. Even feeling nervous or anxious before exams, appointments or performances is the norm for the majority of people. However, when this fear or anxiety is part of everyday life it can become greatly debilitating and prevent you from carrying out even day-to-day tasks such as shopping or talking on the telephone. Fear, anxiety or phobias can stop you moving forward in life, reaching your goals, forming relationships or in serious cases even from leaving the house.

Common fears and phobias include heights, lifts, water, flying, spiders and germs but these can develop in relation to anything in life. Sometimes these fears can be traced back to a specific event or trauma in a person’s life but may also have no obvious cause. Conventional medication and treatments such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) or exposure therapy (desensitisation) can have great results in helping to reduce and even cure deep fears and phobias. Complementary techniques such as meditation, visualisation or breathing exercises can also be beneficial, not only when the fear arises physically or in your mind but also in trying to reduce symptoms day to day. Another complementary therapy that can be used very easily and safely is crystal healing. Crystals are not only beautiful but possess a huge range of qualities that can be accessed by carrying or wearing crystals, having them in our homes or in combination with other methods such as reiki or meditation.

Working with healing crystals can be carried out at home, or you may wish to find a trained therapist in your area. Crystals can be purchased in specialist shops, or there is a huge number of websites offering crystals for sale. Once you receive your crystals, they should be cleansed before use. This can be done by placing them in the moonlight overnight, by smudging the crystals or burying them in some untreated earth overnight. This is important to remove any energy that the crystal may have picked up from other people touching it or the places it has been.
