Simple and Natural Cures for Morning Sickness

Morning sickness is an aggravating symptom of pregnancy, and the constant nausea and vomiting prevent women from being able to eat and keep down nutritious food. During my own pregnancy, I wasn't able to drink milk as I would vomit every time I tried. Some women only experience nausea and vomiting until the third month of pregnancy, while others, like myself, find it continuing till the delivery.

There are thousands of recommended natural remedies, and I have tried many of them, but I've found that most of them are not effective since morning sickness is caused by comprehensive hormonal changes. Popular remedies like green tea, spiced tea, drinking more water, and avoiding oily food did not work for me. Instead, I have found my own wonderful ways to avoid morning sickness, including simple remedies that I have personally found effective.

Tips for Preventing Nausea

  • I realized that nausea occurs more often on an empty stomach. You should eat something every half hour. A few biscuits would do the trick.
  • If you wait to eat until the nausea begins, you may vomit. So, remember to eat something regularly to prevent nausea in the first place.

Easy Ayurvedic Recipe for Morning Sickness

You might make fun of me for explaining such a simple recipe, but this silly thing really works! I believe the lemon is what makes this mixture so effective. Lemon is a magic ingredient that works wonders for your stomach!

Instructions

  1. Mix ingredients.
  2. Put a drop of the mixture on your tongue every now and then, or as needed.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 pinch chili powder
  • 1 pinch salt

3 Other Tried-and-True Remedies for Morning Sickness

While these remedies are not as effective as the recipe above, I still found them to be helpful.

  • Fennel Seeds: Eat the raw seeds.
  • Mango: Eat a raw or tender mango along with some salt. If you are not allergic or sensitive to mango skin, you can eat it with the peel.
  • Ginger: Since some people may feel a burning sensation in their stomach when eating raw ginger, try drinking ginger juice mixed with honey or sugar.

Warning

Mango peel contains urushiol and may cause an allergic reaction upon consumption. Avoid touching or eating the peel if you have a sensitivity to this chemical also found in poison ivy, oak, or sumac. Consult your doctor if you experience a negative reaction.

Wow I know that article is an old one but I had been trying anything to fight nausea!!

OMG and that lemon recipe with salt and Chili powder is changing my life since yesterday,when i felt no nausea at all I took the advantage to eat all the nutritious I love the most which I used to eat anyway before being pregnant . Yes adding fresh ginger to the tea is a wonderful remedy for vomiting in pregnancy. Ginger improves the digestion process and is therefore effective in reducing vomiting and the feeling of nausea. Surely going to recommend your lemon recipe. Rated up and useful.
