Get rid of oral thrush for good!

Get rid of oral thrush for good!

Oral thrush is a terrible nuisance. It tastes bad, causes bad breath and can be embarrassing. Nothing tastes right and it's all you can think of. Left untreated it can get out of control. Even then, you can still beat it! You just have to know what can be done about it. Here are nine methods for defeating oral thrush.

How to Get Control of Oral Thrush

  1. Make pink magic mouthwash to defeat oral thrush.
  2. Eliminate candida yeast fungus in your mouth and body.
  3. Use apple cider vinegar to beat oral thrush.
  4. Use Pau D'Arco Bark or tea.
  5. Use chlorophyll on your oral thrush.
  6. Brush baking soda on your tongue.
  7. Use Daktarin Oral Gel.
  8. Take magnesium malate.
  9. Use an air purifier to keep oral thrush away.

If you suffer from this, then below are some ways you can fight against oral thrush. See which one works the best for you. You might need to try a few, and make them a daily routine. Below you will find detailed descriptions of all nine methods for beating this problem.

1. Make Pink Magic Mouth Wash to Defeat Oral Thrush

This home remedy is especially good for patients who are going through chemotherapy, radiation treatments, and tend to get mouth sores.

Never heard of the "Swish and Spit Pink Magic Mouth Wash"? Well I'm going to tell you about it now. You can easily make it at home with these two products. It relieves mouth pain and soreness. Just be sure not to swallow any of it.

You will need:

  • 1 bottle (any size) Pink Children's Liquid Benadryl - Cherry Flavor
  • 1 bottle (any size) Maalox - Plain or Cherry Flavor
  • Mix equal parts of Benadryl and Maalox together in a small bowl or glass, which ever you prefer.
  • It can be one tablespoon each, or 1/4 cup each.
  • Then swish it all around your mouth, gargle, swish some more, and spit it out.
  • If you have some more in your bowl or glass, then do it again. If not, don't worry about it.
  • Do it again in four hours and every four hours there after. Do not rinse with water, eat, or drink anything for at least 15 minutes. It's very soothing. It's a little chalky from the Maalox, but you can handle it. Believe me, this does work. It's better than any mouth wash you can buy.

Other mouth washes are strong and will only make your oral thrush worse. To get it under control from the inside, drink 1-2 cups of Pau D' Arco tea a day. Don't forget to drink lot's of water throughout the day, so you can generate Saliva. Oral thrush loves dry mouth!

Mixing Benadryl and Maalox can help eliminate oral thrush discomfort.

2. Eliminate Candida Yeast Fungus in Your Mouth and Body

One reason you might be suffering from oral thrush is that you have too much candida albicans within your body. This is a fungus that thrives in moist, dark environments such as the mouth, and many other places. Until the problems actually show on the body, we aren't aware that we have too much of the fungus. So, seeing it on the body is the way your body is showing you there is a problem, and you need to fix it. It doesn't mean just on the outside, you can start helping your body from the inside, and then work your way to the outside.

This is how you do it:

  • Step 1: Try daily doses of " Chlorophyll" to clean within your body.
  • Step 2: Use Daktarin Oral Gel on tongue.
  • Step 3: Use baking soda when brushing your teeth and tongue.
  • Step 4: Swish your mouth a few times a day alternating with the " Pink Magic Mouthwash" and/or Apple Cider Vinegar.
  • Step 5: Dink lot's of water.
  • Step 6: Start eating right. By just cutting down on a few things such as sugars and foods containing yeast (white bread for one) and starches such as pastas and potatoes, you can reduce the chances of getting oral thrush.
  • Step 7: Turn on the air purifier before going to sleep at night.

3. Use Apple Cider Vinegar to Beat Oral Thrush

The best Apple Cider Vinegar to use is one that is raw, un-distilled and unpasteurized, with no additives or preservatives. Take by mouth and/or gargle a tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar mixed with a little water.

Apple cider vinegar can help by:

  • Improving the PH balance in your body and causing it to become more alkaline.
  • It helps to fight off the intestinal yeast overgrowth by killing the yeast that is in your body.
  • It also prevents the growth of bacteria in the digestive tract.
  • You can also gargle straight apple cider vinegar 2-3 times a day, holding it for a few minutes in your mouth. This will kill bad bacteria on your tongue.

4. Use Pau D'Arco Bark or Tea

Pau D'Arco bark or tea is also very good for preventing or treating oral thrush. In fact, this bark or tea can help in many ways.

Pau D'Arco bark helps by:

  • Killing bacteria and fungi such as yeast.
  • It also aides in cancer, candida, parasites, viruses, relieves infections, reduces inflammation, and promotes digestion,
  • It relieves pain, strengthens the immune system, flushes toxins from the body, and protects against cardiovascular disease and high blood pressure.

Drink a cup of hot Pau D'Arco tea once daily.

5. Use Chlorophyll on Your Oral Thrush

Chlorophyll kills bacteria and germs. Chlorophyll is a deodorizer and eliminates odor from your throat and mouth. Taking a couple of teaspoons mixed in a glass with a little bit of water twice a day is recommended. Gargle it after brushing your teeth.

It is also good for:

  • Body odor
  • Bad breath
  • Respiratory problems
  • Rheumatism
  • Liver problems
  • Anemic pale complexions
  • Weight problems
  • Constipation
  • Menstrual pain
  • Sore throat
  • Fatigue

Where Can You Get Chlorophyll?

Personally, I have used products from Synergy World Wide. The company is NASDAQ listed and has won a Nobel prize. Their products are quality guaranteed. They offer money back, if for some reason you are not satisfied with any of their products.

Their chlorophyll product, as well as all of their products, has been tested by scientists/physicians for potency and purity.

Ordering a monthly auto-ship from them can make things easy. That way you will never run out. Every 30-days, a shipment will arrive at your door like clockwork. It can be canceled at any time with no problem.

Of course, you don't have to do auto-ship if this is something you're not comfortable with.

6. Brush Baking Soda on Your Tongue

Everyone knows baking soda is great for whitening teeth. Since baking soda eliminates odor and bacteria, brushing it on your tongue is a great benefit.

After every brushing, sprinkle baking soda on the toothbrush, then brush the tongue and your rinse mouth.

7. Use Daktarin Oral Gel

Daktarin oral gel is used for infections of the mouth and throat. It works best for thrush. The main ingredient is Miconazole, which is used for treating infections caused by fungi, including yeast. It is a small tube so you might want to get a couple at a time.

8. Take Magnesium Malate

Promotes the production of saliva, which helps control oral bacteria. Dry mouth is how the bacteria grows. It is important to choose a good form of magnesium, magnesium malate. It is considered an alpha hydroxy acid which is good for the skin.

There are other types of magnesium such as citrate, oxide, glycinate, taurate, they are for different things.

Magnesium helps defeat thrush.

9. Use Air Purifiers to Keep Oral Thrush Away

Since my oral thrush/sinus infection incident. I have also added four air purifiers in my home to keep the air cleaner, and to keep the bacteria away. They filter pollen, chemicals, dust, pollutants, smoke, pet dander, and more. They can also help if you are someone that snores while sleeping. The cool, fresh air that comes back out after being sifted/filtered through the air purifier can help you breathe easier and possibly eliminate a little bit of the troublesome snoring which makes the mouth dry. We all know bacteria likes for our mouth to be dry so it can live and thrive. Which gives oral thrush another reason to stick around on the tongue.

What Is Oral Thrush In the First Place?

Oral thrush, also called oral candidiasis, is a condition in which the fungus Candida albicans accumulates on the lining of your mouth. Oral thrush causes creamy white lesions, usually on your tongue. Sinus infections can contribute to oral thrush. Especially if it is bacteria related.

This Problem Can Evolve for Several Reasons

Oral thrush, or pseudomembranous candidiasis, is a fungus/fungal infection in the mouth and consists of creamy, white lesions on your tongue, back of throat, inner cheeks, sides of mouth, and sometimes on the roof of your mouth. It can be in all or some of these areas. Oral thrush can cause pain, loss of taste, cottony feeling, bad breath, dry mouth, and dehydration.

Here are some reasons why you might have oral thrush:

  1. Sinus infections
  2. To much Candida yeast in the body
  3. Smoking
  4. Weak immune system
  5. Dry mouth (drink more water)
  6. Low levels of iron
  7. Low on vitamin B-12
  8. Recently taking antibiotics
  9. Diabetes

Tonsil Stones Symptoms Are Like Oral Thrush

Tonsil stones (Tonsilloliths) don't cause oral thrush, but the symptoms are pretty much the same.

Symptoms of Tonsil Stones

  • Nasty taste in mouth
  • White covered tongue
  • Sore throat

To check if you have tonsil stones, look in the back of your throat at your tonsils and see if there are white clusters stuck on your tonsils like in the picture below. If so, did you know that you can remove them yourself?

How to Remove Tonsil Stones

  • Use a Q-tip or the end of your toothbrush and pop them out. It's not as easy as I just made it sound. Especially if your gag reflex is sensitive. Plus, they like to stay hidden in the tonsil. Pretty much buried inside of the tonsil crevices. Unfortunately, you will gag! There's no doubt about it.

My Battle With Oral Thrush

It started in September 2016. I was at work and things were slow. So a couple of employees from another department were asked to clean our office. Our office was filthy. We did not have a janitor and my co-worker and I did not have time to clean much. Needless to say, the dirt built up fast!

Long story short, one of the employees started sweeping the floor with a long bristle broom. Before we knew it, a huge dust cloud hung over the entire office. It just lingered there. In the mean time, my nose started itching.

Later that evening, at home, my nose really started to tickle and itch continuously. The sneezing began, and my nose was running and would not stop. I contacted a bad sinus infection from the dust.

It lasted 5 months, then I went back and forth to the doctor every month for three months. Every time I went, I received a different antibiotic and various shots. I was miserable. Nothing helped. On top of that, I got oral thrush. That was something else I had to deal with. I tried all these different remedies that I am writing about here on my site. Even now that I don't have oral thrush or a sinus infection any more, I still do the vinegar, baking soda, drink Pau' D Arco tea, and chlorophyll.

All of this together has helped me tremendously, and I hope all, or some, of this information can help someone else.

I am not a physician or expert. I only know what worked for me.

So last August I went to a beer festival. It was ‘all you can drink’. I went a bit crazy and was drinking ridiculously strong beer. Some was 20% which was stronger than any beer I knew existed. A week later I had my first bout of oral thrush. I am fighting the latest bout. Usually Daktarin clears it up quickly but this time it hasn’t. I am worried about having diabetes or something else which is effecting my immune system. Any advice ?

I have a terrible issue with thrush - no meds have worked for several YEARS. I have learned to keep it at bay with cloves in my mouth but not biting into them - just leaving them there. This is a habit after I eat anything.

@anonymous: Im currently dealing with oral thrush due to antibotics. I have tried everything the doctors have given me, BUT norhing worked. I did my own research and learned about this magic mouthwash along with oil pulling. I am on my 2nd day of both and feel completely different. Also cut out ALL sugars I ate, along with a 35billon(instead of 5billion) probotic. Good luck

@anonymous: Mouth wash just makes it worse. try either the Pau d' arco tea or Chamomile tea. Drink the Chamomile warm with as little or no sugar as you can. This will get in your system. Then make a strong batch and gargle at least 4 times a day with it. if you can stand the apple cider vinegar do that in between. Just do a combination of these things, rotating days.
